28/04/2009 · Google Captcha getting annoying? Hi I been getting this issue where a captcha appears when trying to do a google search. I think it is caused by using a VPN as I read somewhere that it can be caused by an IP address being over used or something like that.

Google actively looks out for proxies/socks servers & adds them to some kind of black that's why Google knows when you are hitting the reCaptcha with a proxy . the only VPN that Google would not know about is a VPN that you setup on a  

I noticed that Google's "I am not a robot" reCAPTCHA forces me to check correct images on my computer. I installed a virtual machine and tried there. Same thing. Used proxy. Same thing too. Then I used another computer in the same network (same public IP), but this time the reCAPTCHA doesn't force me to solve it. It just checks itself when I click it. Very curious behaviour.
